I love the opportunity to learn new subjects (Docendo, discimus — by teaching we learn)
What do you love most about New Harvest Christian School (NHCS)?
All the subjects are taught with a Biblical worldview. God’s Word and character are revealed in all the different subjects.
What do you think students love most about NHCS?
We are like a family. The small class sizes allow me to get to know each student and love them for their unique personalities.
What’s your favorite Bible verse?
“So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.” — Matthew 7:12. This verse reminds me that I am not more important than others. God loves us all the same.
“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.” — Phil. 4:8. Keep my ming focused on God’s will. No whining!
What are your spiritual gifts and talents and how do you use them at New Harvest Christian School?
Teaching — I use this gift everyday by training students academically and spiritually.
Helps — I enjoy helping others (students, teachers, friends, etc) in any way I can.
What is an examples of a project or way your school teaches that is unique compared to other schools and why is this important?
Teaching history chronologically helps students see God’s hand continually in history and how man’s choices affect the next generation. Latin helps strengthen English vocabulary and grammar, and it provides a firm foundation for learning Spanish, French, and other Romance languages.
What is your favorite book and why?
Any books by Francine Rivers or Karen Kingsbury. I enjoy Christian mysteries and Christian historical fiction.

What is your favorite field trip or special project your school has taken/completed?
Catalina Island — The students learn that God can conquer fears and teach them new skills.
What do you like most about the families or parents that enroll their children at New Harvest Christian School?
We have a common goal — to raise up spiritually equipped students in a loving, academically challenging environment.
